I walked into the kitchen to find that the local Filipinos having a party at our house. Unbeknownst to me lol. there’s brother Richie, he’s too blame for these shenanigans.

An Augustinian and a Franciscan. I went to go visit my friend Will, who joined the Franciscans. He is now a Novice, and recently received a habit.

My Ring for Religious Consecration!

Although not an official custom in our Order, I had my dad purchase a Ring for my Solemn Vows to the Augustinians. It would be an additional public sign of my Consecration!

I received these as gifts preparing for my Ordination to the Diaconate next month.

The candle used at my Solemn Profession

“Go, then, like fires burning with holiness and beauty… go all over the world and lead all peoples to the light.” - St. Augustine

Following the Profession of Vows, I lit this candle from the flame of the Paschal Candle. The provincial then, with hands extended, prayed the Prayer of Consecration over me as I, held the Paschal Flame.

I will not get my hands on copies of the photos taken at my Solemn Vows until this weekend. Here are a few photos taken of my community in Chicago, as well as a few shots that my brother took with my camera after the solemn vows.
